  • Personas are the interactive roles we play in the world. We do this by embodying three FERUS at once:

an Insulating FERA (black border) ,

    an Escalating FERA (red border),

managed by a Resonating FERA (white border) that sits between the two.

Twitchy, alert, oh so timidly trespassing

Broken beneath yet gathering speed

Realize your strength to regain your composure

At the core of the Referee is the sense of being lost yet piercingly awake.

Suffering in the Anguished throe of exclusion from others,

the art of the Referee is to keep inner turmoil at a minimum,

making oneself useful to others in a powerfully contained way.

Self Inquiry for the Referee

My social role as a Referee is propelled by my compulsion to be helpful to others. Behaving as a Referee allows me to keep my anguished worries hidden while acting calm for others. Failing to integrate both the calm and worried parts of myself, my social role is marked by a tendency toward impatience.

When Worried, what is its story?

When Impatience arises in me, it has this to say …

When I feel Calm, what messages do I give myself?

If acting the role of a Referee is no longer serving my purpose, I may swap out parts of this Persona and assume a new Persona while still addressing integral emotions.

Personas that utilize the spirit of my Impatient Ibex

“Broken Beneath Yet Gathering Speed.”

Personas that help me reconcile between my Worried Thrush and Calm Bear.

“Twitchy, alert, oh so timidly trespassing….

Realize your strength to regain your composure”

The Referee shares a common aspiration to be Steadfast with the Healer.

Together they give access to the Quest of the Grapnel.
