States are the basic currency of all moods. Their rudimentary nature is expressed in the flora of the Menagerie. They exist as inescapable facts of the environment. In your body, they are the habitat, the background hum, of your emotional life.

Animal Moods represent unique combinations of multiple states. which allow for experiences of homeostasis. Instead of drifting from one state to another, each Animal Mood gives access to a three-states-at-once perspective.

Animal Moods feel alive in us. We can talk to these Moods. In the Menagerie, they can talk back!

Animal Moods are highly interactive but transitory. They allow Consciousness to emerge in a fleeting way.

True Self is the more lasting, personal feeling we get as certain moods gather in the service of a specific quest.

Some quests are given to us by our ancestors as Imperatives. Other quests are chosen and can lead us toward unique Territories within where we establish our most meaningful stories.

When you arrive at a sense of homeostasis with six Animal Moods of a chosen True Self Territory, a new sense of Consciousness emerges.

Within every nuance of our everyday emotional tirades, consciousness announces another personal layer of arrival on this planet.
